Shoni-Shin: Japanese Style Pediatric Acupuncture Seminar (7CEU/PDA Approved) - Seminar is now full. Sign up for the wait list.
Shoni-Shin is a non-invasive style of pediatric acupuncture used widely in Japan, effective for infants, children and even adults who are needle-shy. Shoni-Shin is a non-insertion technique and stimulated the meridians and acupuncture points using cutaneous contact tools.
Shoni-Shin techniques involve rhythmic plucking, stroking and brushing of the skin to give different kinds of gentle stimulation to harmonize and fortify the child's vital energy and strengthen the child's constitution.
In this course, participants will learn how to diagnose common pediatric diseases by relying heavily on palpation, as most children are not able to fully express their suffering. This course will also cover how to teach parents to use Shoni-Shin on their children every day using common household items like spoons, toothbrushes and hair driers.
